BAA was commissioned to design a 32,500 sf addition and 15,000 sf renovation of athletic facilities for Xaverian Brothers High School. This project is part of an overall campus development and improvement plan to enhance the school’s academic and extracurricular programs, preparing more students to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom.
The newly constructed 32,500 sf Sports and Wellness Center features a three-court gymnasium, locker rooms with four basketball courts and three volleyball courts, fitness room, office space, a multi-purpose room, athletic storage, and an expansive entry lobby that spatially ties the athletic facilities to the academic wings of the school. BAA also renovated 15,000 sf of the existing athletic wing, including a gym for the Francis Xavier Division(FXD), a state-of-the-art fitness center and locker rooms. A roadway was converted into a pedestrian plaza to connect the football field to the wellness center and provide a gathering spot for the community.
